Madagascar Car Rental FAQ

Always with an experienced driver-guide. We deliberately do not offer self-drive — for safety and comfort, and because Madagascar's roads require local experience.

The prices are €45/day in Antananarivo and €58/day outside Antananarivo. Included are the vehicle, an experienced driver-guide and the driver's accommodation.

The deposit is 10% and confirms your booking. The balance is due after handover of driver and vehicle, no later than 1–2 days after your trip begins.

The driver's accommodation is included in the daily rate. Fuel is not included and is covered by the customer. If no accommodation is available for the driver, we take care of it ourselves.

You send a non-binding enquiry, we check availability and advise you. With a 10% deposit and a copy of your passport we confirm the booking. We then plan the route with the driver; the handover takes place in Antananarivo.

On cancellation the 10% deposit is retained and not refunded. Rebooking is possible by individual arrangement.

In case of a breakdown we provide a replacement vehicle as quickly as possible. In case of an accident we organise a replacement vehicle and onward travel. If the driver falls ill, we provide a replacement driver.

You can choose between the Mitsubishi L200 pickup (comfortable, economical) and the Hyundai Terracan 4x4 (6 seats, off-road capable) — both always with a driver.
